Kashan is one the desert cities of Iran. This city is considered as the epitome of everything that is Persian. The existence of Kashan goes back to 6th millennium bce. Melchior, one the 3 wise men who set out to meet the newborn Christ is believed to have originally been from Kashan.The city is located on a one important caravan route and since it was a center of Persian ceramics and woolen and silk carpets which was one of the reasons the city flourished.
One of the most notable products of Kashan is it’s Rose Water which used to produce medicine, beauty products and perfume. every year at May, there is a rose water festival held in Kashan which gathers a huge number of people there.
Some of the most important monuments to visit in Kashan are: Fin Garden, Borujerdi and Tabtabaei traditional houses, Amir Ahmad bathhouse and Sialk mound. These are few of many monuments and places that can be found in Kashan. Fin Garden is one of the nine Persian gardens registered under UNESCO World Heritage where you can see the paradise. Sialk Mound is the place which dates back to 6th millennium bce and gives us a good understanding of what the city originally was.
